I shot this image when I was leading a photocycling tour through the Flint Hills. We headed up the hills of the low maintenance road called Coyne Creek Road as the rain started falling in sheets. One of our members lost a derailleur because of the thick mud. But I did shoot this calming image of the colorful Fall hills as the storm was overhead. I added layers of texture to this image in post giving it a painterly feel to it.
I love riding a bicycle. I also love capturing images and have been a professional photographer since 1990. The collision of these two activities resulted in the creation of the Adventure Monkey web site (adventuremonkey.com).
