This may be the first tree I captured in my lone tree series. Trees like this one in the Flint Hills must have been started from a seed dropped from a bird or other animal. They are in the middle of nowhere, and if strong enough, and lucky enough to get enough water, take hold in the harsh environment. This tree grabbed hold of life in this little valley in the hills. This is the winter version of the same tree in the image "Lone Green Tree."
I love riding a bicycle. I also love capturing images and have been a professional photographer since 1990. The collision of these two activities resulted in the creation of the Adventure Monkey web site (adventuremonkey.com).
